Would you watch a Mindhunter movie trilogy instead of a traditional Season 3?
Mindhunter May Return as a Trilogy of Feature Films, Says Star Holt McCallany
After years of speculation, hope is rising for fans of *Mindhunter*. Star Holt McCallany recently revealed that discussions with creator David Fincher are underway to revive the acclaimed Netflix series—not as a traditional Season 3, but as a trilogy of two-hour feature films. While nothing is officially greenlit, screenwriting work is already in progress, pending Fincher’s final approval. Originally aired from 2017 to 2019, *Mindhunter* captivated audiences with its dark, cerebral look at the FBI’s early criminal profiling efforts. The show's cult following and critical acclaim have only grown in its absence. With this potential trilogy format, Netflix may deliver long-awaited closure to one of its most respected thrillers.
