With rumors of a January exit circulating, should Federico Chiesa stay in the Premier League or return to Serie A?
Federico Chiesa: Premier League Future or Serie A Return?
Federico Chiesa, the former Juventus forward who joined Liverpool in 2024, is facing a period of uncertainty at Anfield. Despite joining the Premier League side under Arne Slot, the Italian international has struggled to secure consistent playing time, featuring minimally in recent matches. Recent reports from Tuttomercatoweb suggest that while Chiesa expresses a desire to remain in England and experience the Premier League, a move back to Serie A in the January transfer window remains a possibility. Clubs such as Milan, Lazio, and Inter Milan have been linked to the winger. While legends like Jamie Carragher have expressed skepticism regarding Chiesa's future role in the squad, others like Angelo Di Livio suggest a move back to Italy could revitalize his career and help him regain his spot in the national team. The decision hinges on whether a Premier League club offers a suitable loan or permanent transfer, potentially allowing Chiesa to find the regular football he lacks at Liverpool.
