Who will win the rivalry game between Purdue and Notre Dame?
Shillelagh Trophy Rivalry Resumes: Purdue Travels to Notre Dame
The Purdue Boilermakers travel to South Bend to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a renewal of the Shillelagh Trophy rivalry. Purdue comes into the matchup 2-1 but still searching for consistency as they rebuild key parts of their roster. Notre Dame, surprisingly 0-2, is under pressure to get back on track, especially after last season’s 66-7 blowout win over the Boilermakers. This year’s clash will be under the bright lights at Notre Dame Stadium, with home-field advantage and historical dominance leaning in favor of the Irish. However, rivalry games are never easy to predict, and Purdue could make things interesting if they protect the ball and slow down Notre Dame’s pass rush.
