Who will win the Reds vs. Dodgers Wild Card Series?
Ohtani and Dodgers Dominate Game 1, Reds on Brink of Elimination
The 2025 MLB National League Wild Card Series has kicked off with a dominant performance by the Los Angeles Dodgers, who beat the Cincinnati Reds 10–5 in Game 1. Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernández both smashed two home runs, giving the Dodgers an explosive lead. Blake Snell was electric on the mound, striking out nine over seven innings. Meanwhile, Reds starter Hunter Greene struggled early, and despite a late push, the Dodgers’ bullpen held on. The Reds now face elimination in Game 2. After clinching their first full-season postseason appearance in over a decade, Cincinnati hopes to rally back, while the Dodgers aim to close the series swiftly and advance to the NLDS.
