Which team will win the Prince of Wales Trophy as 2026 Eastern Conference Champions?
Who Will Capture the 2026 Prince of Wales Trophy?
The Prince of Wales Trophy is awarded annually to the NHL team that wins the Eastern Conference Final and advances to the Stanley Cup Final. The Florida Panthers captured it in 2025 after defeating the Carolina Hurricanes in five games, continuing their dominant run through the East. As the 2025–26 NHL season begins, teams like the Panthers, Hurricanes, Rangers, Bruins, and Maple Leafs are considered top contenders to represent the Eastern Conference. Longstanding NHL tradition holds that many players refuse to touch the Prince of Wales Trophy upon winning it—believing that doing so before capturing the Stanley Cup could bring bad luck. As the Eastern Conference battle heats up, fans are watching to see who will emerge as the next Eastern champion.
