EA Sports Teases College Basketball Game Return After 16-Year Hiatus
EA Sports has officially teased its long-awaited return to college basketball gaming, 16 years after the release of NCAA Basketball 10. On June 30, 2025, EA posted a cryptic message on social media hinting at a new title—likely called EA Sports College Basketball—currently in development with a 2028–29 release window. The previous franchise ended after legal hurdles made it difficult to use player likenesses, but with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rules now in place, the path is clear. Fans are excited about modern features like updated graphics, inclusion of HBCUs, and immersive March Madness experiences.
