Anthony Davis Traded to Washington Wizards in Blockbuster Deal
The Dallas Mavericks agreed to an eight-player blockbuster trade ahead of the 2026 NBA trade deadline, sending 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards along with Jaden Hardy, D’Angelo Russell, and Dante Exum. In return, the Mavericks received veteran players Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, two first-round picks, and three second-round picks. This deal marks a significant roster shift for both teams, with Davis joining a revamped Wizards core and Dallas continuing its rebuild strategy after acquiring young talent and draft capital. Fans and analysts are debating who benefited more from the trade and how Davis will fit into Washington’s plans — especially given his recent injury history and the team’s long-term outlook.
