How will Music Decoy change your media playback experience on macOS?
Music Decoy: Stop the Apple Music app from launching
Music Decoy is a lightweight application designed to prevent the Apple Music app from launching when you press the Play button on your keyboard or Bluetooth device. By using the same bundle identifier as the official Music app, it tricks the system into thinking the app is already running, thus stopping unwanted launches. Version 1.1 introduces an option to configure which media player should open instead, such as Spotify, through a Terminal command. This utility addresses common frustrations with accidental music app launches and offers a simple solution for users who prefer different playback options.
