Does *Together* look like a must-watch or a body horror too bizarre to enjoy?
Dave Franco & Alison Brie Fuse in Surreal Horror Romance *Together*
*Together* (2025) is a bold supernatural body horror film starring real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie, directed by Michael Shanks. Premiering at Sundance earlier this year, the movie follows Tim and Millie, a couple struggling with their relationship who retreat to the countryside, only to encounter a cursed cave that begins to fuse their bodies together. The grotesque transformation becomes a haunting metaphor for codependency, blending practical effects, horror, romance, and dark comedy. Critics have praised the film’s originality, intense performances, and unnerving imagery, while some have found the tonal shifts and cult subplot uneven. Released in U.S. theaters on July 30, 2025, by Neon, *Together* has also drawn headlines for a copyright lawsuit alleging similarities to another film. Whether unsettling or brilliant, it’s one of 2025’s most talked-about genre movies.
