Are you excited for *Spaceballs 2* and the return of Mel Brooks and Rick Moranis?
Spaceballs 2 Confirmed: Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman to Return
After decades of fan speculation, *Spaceballs 2* is officially moving forward with a planned theatrical release in 2027. Legendary comedian Mel Brooks, now 98, will reprise his role as Yogurt, with original stars Rick Moranis (Dark Helmet) and Bill Pullman (Lone Starr) also returning. The film will be directed by Josh Greenbaum and co-written by Josh Gad, who will also star. New cast members include Keke Palmer, adding fresh energy to the beloved sci-fi parody. The project is being produced by Amazon–MGM and is humorously billed as a "Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel" poking fun at Hollywood’s franchise culture. A teaser titled *The Schwartz Awakens* has already sparked online buzz. Fans are especially thrilled to see Moranis back in action after nearly three decades away from live-action film.
