*Landman* Season 2 Premieres with Billy Bob Thornton and Sam Elliott
Season 2 of *Landman*, the oil-industry drama starring Billy Bob Thornton, has officially premiered on Paramount+ as of November 16, 2025. The new season continues the high-stakes narrative set in West Texas, where Thornton’s character, Tommy Norris, faces greater pressure and rising responsibilities. One of the big highlights this season is the addition of Sam Elliott, who joins the cast as Tommy’s father, adding generational tension to the already complex drama. Stefania Spampinato also comes aboard in a recurring role. Season 1 ended with unresolved cartel entanglements and power shifts, which Season 2 is now poised to explore in depth. Critics have responded positively so far, with a 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. New episodes are set to air weekly every Sunday, building up to a finale on January 18, 2026. The show remains a Paramount+ exclusive, though also available via Amazon Prime with a channel add-on. With buzz growing, fans and newcomers alike are tuning in to see where the oilfield saga leads next.
